SOUTH SULAWESI — Last Saturday (12/4/2025), a video showing female DJ, Natalie Holscher, receiving money while performing at a night entertainment venue (THM) in Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi, shocked the public.
In the video, Natalie is seen lying on a pile of Rp50,000 and Rp100,000 bills.

The moment created a sharp contrast between the big religious event and the nightlife presented elsewhere in Sidrap. Responding to the viral video, Sidrap Regent, Syaharuddin Alrif, expressed his disappointment.
He admitted that he felt embarrassed because the video resulted in a reprimand from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) which highlighted this incident. “I feel embarrassed to be reprimanded by friends in Jakarta and the province. Of course I will not remain silent,” said Syaharuddin on Wednesday (16/4/2025).
Sidrap Regent Will Take Firm ActionThe Sidrap Regent expressed his disappointment because this incident was considered to have tarnished the image of the area which is known as a religious area.
“Sidrap has always been known as a religious area, with many Islamic boarding schools and clerics. I don’t want one incident to damage the image of this area,” added Syaharuddin.
